Peace Lantern Festival Theme

Since 1980, under the guidance of Fo Guang Shan's founding master, Venerable Master Hsing Yun, the Peace Lantern Festival was established with the mission to purify hearts and build a Pure Land on Earth. For over 40 years, this event has brought Fo Guang Shan devotees and friends from around the world together to celebrate the Lunar New Year with joy, peace, and spiritual growth.


The 2025 Peace Lantern Festival will be held from January 29th to February 12th (Lunar New Year’s day to the 15th day of the lunar calendar). Hsi Lai Temple has planned a series of activities designed to inspire joy, compassion, and wisdom. We warmly welcome new and returning visitors, families and friends, to join us and connect with the Buddha, the Dharma, the Sangha, and the wholeness within themselves.

TRANSPORTATION

As you plan your visit to Hsi Lai Temple for the Lunar New Year Celebration on the busy days of January 29, 30 & February 1, 2, 8, 2025, we want to remind you that finding parking is next to impossible. We highly encourage you to park at Puente Hills Mall or use rideshare, as it is the most convenient option.

1. Park at Puente Hills Mall

On January 29, 30 & February 1, 2, 8, 2025, please park your car at Puente Hills Mall; Free shuttle bus service is provided to and from the temple.

  • Our shuttle service may be subjected to change to due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Park at your own risk, please double check and make sure vehicle is locked, no visible items in the vehicle. Hsi Lai Temple is NOT responsible for loss or damage to personal property at Puente Hills Mall property.

2. Rideshare drop off & Pick up at Hsi Lai Center

The event rideshare lot will be located at the Hsi Lai Center parking lot. A free shuttle will transport you between Hsi Lai Center and Hsi Lai Temple, ensuring a smooth and festive experience. We look forward to celebrating with you!
